It is so well equipped that we were not wanting for anything over the weekend.
Thank you so much.
Salthouse itself is an ideal spot on the North Norfolk coast. The local beach is easy to get at by car or a pleasant path over the marshes. Whilst a shingle bank at high tide, it provides a good spot at lower water for children's play. Sandy beaches are nearby at Sheringham and further afield. The countryside is ideal for walking, cycling and birdwatching. There are lots of things to do in the immediate area, suitable for all ages. The Mussleburgh Collection, Dinosaur Land and Bewilderwood were all hits with the kids, and we did not have time to go on the train - other than the beach train at Wells, where excellent crabbing was one highlight of the holiday.
The village has a good pub which provided an excellent family meal. The Crab Shack is another draw.
All in all - Seawatch and the area itself can be recommended highly.

Seawatch proved an ideal base for our 3 generation family holiday. The house itself is lovely – recently refurbished and in good condition throughout. It was very well equipped. Furnishings and excellent artwork on the walls all added to a homely feel. With excellent weather, the sheltered but open back garden with it’s patio and upper “sun tan terrace” was a real bonus.

Sea Watch Salthouse – 8th – 15th July 2016
We were so fortunate to find this most comfortable, beautifully furnished and well equipped house in which to celebrate a very big birthday with all the family; it could not have been better. Having owned a cottage in Morston until ten years ago, we were able to make the most of all that is on offer on this most beautiful coast. Sailing, cockling, picking samphire, hunting for semi precious pebbles, walking, swimming with seals and sampling the excellent local delicacies. Dinner at the renowned Morston Hall Hotel on my birthday was a highlight. For those who do not know the area, there are plenty of maps and leaflets about everything you could possibly want to know. We returned home to Norwich, the south coast, Italy and Hong Kong with memories of a very special week at “Sea Watch”, thanks to the owner for sharing her lovely holiday home and Norfolk Hideaways for making this possible. Norfolk Hideaway Guest July 2016
“As a family of 7 (3 generations) we had a wonderful holiday at Seawatch from 7-15 August (or thereabouts). We all absolutely loved it and it was the best house we have stayed in without doubt. Kind regards, Mrs Sheila Gee
“What a lovely surprise it was to turn up and find a house that had clearly been well thought out and beautifully done. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our walking weekend; there was so much to see and Sea Watch was a wonderful place to relax and unwind in the evenings. We are already planning our next visit! ” Isobel Phillips & Friends – May 2015
“Our recent trip to Sea Watch House in Salthouse turned out to be one of our favourite trips to Norfolk so far. There were eight of us this time – three generations – and there was something for everyone. ” Marion Morahan – March 2015
“I have been going to Norfolk for 22 years and yet we found so many new places and experiences during the last week, in an area we’d never really heard of until reading about it in the Sunday Times!”
“Norfolk is such a pretty place, we had no idea as we always head south-west to Cornwall which is such a schlep from London. Sea Watch was delightful and we fell in love with the area. The kitchen was an ideal place for us all to gather and relax after a long day out walking and exploring. We loved the cozyness of the log fire at night and the children were thrilled to have their own lounge – it was a treat for us too! Until the next time….many thanks.” The Rigby’s. Oct 2014
“Sea View is fantastic – a great position and views of both sea and farmland – space, light, beautifully furnished and wonderful comfort – it was a joy to stay there (also an inspiration to my parents with plenty of ideas for a cottage extension they are soon to embark on). Sadly, I hadn’t ever gone round to Salthouse and with charm and tranquility in abundance, you would also never have known it to be peak holiday season – a perfect base to enjoy but also tremendous for exploring the whole coastline.”
“We were blessed by great weather and enjoyed the Runtons, the Strands and indeed our “own” beaches closer to home. Festivals, fetes and a harvest backdrop on the hills above added to the feel of it all. Plenty of crab, sea, surf, sand and pebble – it was wonderful.”
“It was a special week and a huge thank you from all of Family Boyd!” August 2014
“ A super week was had by all. We loved everything about Sea Watch – the space, the location, the views, the nearby places to explore. We shall tell all our friends and we’ll definitely all return before too long.” The Phillips Family – Sept 2014
