“Sea Watch is fantastic – a great position and views of both sea and farmland - space, light, beautifully furnished and wonderful comfort- it was a joy to stay there ...We were blessed by great weather and enjoyed the Runtons, the Strands and indeed our “own” beaches closer to home. Festivals, fetes and a harvest backdrop on the hills above added to the feel of it all. We had a wonderful time in Salthouse. The house was amazing and has been so beautifully done-up.

Our recent trip to Sea Watch House in Salthouse turned out to be one of our favourite trips to Norfolk so far. There were eight of us this time – three generations – and there was something for everyone.

Seawatch proved an ideal base for our 3 generation family holiday. The house itself is lovely - recently refurbished and in good condition throughout. It was very well equipped. Furnishings and excellent artwork on the walls all added to a homely feel. With excellent weather, the sheltered but open back garden with it's patio and upper "sun tan terrace" was a real bonus.....

Salthouse itself is an ideal spot on the North Norfolk coast. The local beach is easy to get at by car or a pleasant path over the marshes. Whilst a shingle bank at high tide, it provides a good spot at lower water for children's play. Sandy beaches are nearby at Sheringham and further afield. The countryside is ideal for walking, cycling and birdwatching. There are lots of things to do in the immediate area, suitable for all ages. The Mussleburgh Collection, Dinosaur Land and Bewilderwood were all hits with the kids, and we did not have time to go on the train - other than the beach train at Wells, where excellent crabbing was one highlight of the holiday.

The village has a good pub which provided an excellent family meal. The Crab Shack is another draw.

All in all - Seawatch and the area itself can be recommended highly.

A super week was had by all. We loved everything about Sea Watch – the space, the location, the views, the nearby places to explore. We shall tell all our friends and we’ll definitely all return before too long.
